BABE GAGA AQUATIC CENTER
Location: Guangdong, China
Date: 2022
Design Brief:
Children have wild imaginations; would it not be wonderful if the worlds they imagine could become reality? Inside the amusement park is a wonderful natural journey that crosses the terrain of three great mountains and rivers. This story line runs through every corner of the swimming pool, with two natural themes: the pink sandy beach of Komodo Island and the mysterious deep sea surrounding the Komodo Island. Using two different concepts to outline a vivid and three-dimensional environment, it transcends the various levels and play areas inside the pool.
With abstracts art elements to stimulate the childrens to explore, crawl, walk, slide or jumping through the secret passages, opening the curiosity of children. The designer interprets elements and colors from the ocean, interweaving blue-toned oceans, pink beaches, and elements of clear and delicate beaches and ships, dancing waves, etc., from a child's perspective to form a space with a rich sense of depth. Klein said, "only color can evoke the strongest emotional experience," without the need of language, in an abstract environment and immerse in a spiritual experience.
